VINCENT BISHOP est un auteur-compositeur-interprète né à Vancouver. À l’âge d’un an et demi, ses parents et lui déménagent à Summerland, une ville rurale dans la vallée Okanagan avant de déménager à Ottawa à cinq ans. Il développe rapidement une affinité et un talent pour composer des harmonies complexes et balancées.
Avec ses instruments gauchers et sa pédale « loop », Vincent apporte une vague d’énergie avec lui lorsqu’il est en spectacle. Ses chansons sont composées et arrangées par Vincent lui-même. Multi-instrumentaliste, Vincent y joue de la guitare, du ukulélé, de la basse et de la percussion buccale. Il programme également ses arrangements au clavier sur partition.
En juin 2017, Vincent obtient son baccalauréat spécialisé en musique avec distinction à l’université Carleton.
Lancé dans le cadre du mois de l’autisme, son deuxième album « Ambiguous » traite des thèmes et des luttes avec lesquels de nombreuses personnes avec autisme vivent quotidiennement. C’est un sujet qui lui tient à cœur, puisque que Vincent a lui-même été diagnostiqué avec le syndrome d’Asperger du trouble du spectre de l’autisme (TSA). Il raconte son expérience dans la chanson-titre. Cet album permet également à Vincent de se rapprocher de ses racines franco-canadiennes avec la chanson « Dans l’air pur et clair ». Depuis ce dernier titre fortement acclamé, il s’est lancé dans la production d’un premier opus entièrement en français.
Vincent offre également des cours de musique, des ateliers et des conférences musicales pour tous les âges. Outre chanter ses compositions et interpréter ses chansons préférées, le contenu de ses présentations comportent aussi de la sensibilisation à l’autisme. Vincent parle de son parcours et de ses expériences en tant qu’enfant et jeune homme atteint de cet condition qui lui a causé bien des défis, mais aussi bien des qualités. À ce jour, il offre ses ateliers surtout aux élèves d’écoles primaires et ses conférences pour les élèves du secondaire.

VINCENT BISHOP is a singer-songwriter born in Vancouver. At the age of one and a half, his parents and him moved to Summerland, a country town in the Okanagan Valley before moving to Ottawa at the age of five. He developed an affinity and talent for composing complex yet well-balanced harmonies at a very early age.
Holding left-handed instruments and stepping on his loop station, Vincent brings energy to captivated audiences of his versatile work and optimistic performances. His songs are composed and arranged by Vincent himself. A multi-instrumentalist, Vincent plays guitar, ukulele, bass and beatbox. He also programs his arrangements from a keyboard to sheet music.
In June 2017, Vincent graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Music program at Carleton University with distinction.
Released during Autism Awareness Month, his second album “Ambiguous” deals with the themes and struggles that many people with autism experience on a daily basis. This is a topic close to his heart, since Vincent himself was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, part of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He talks about his experience in the title track. This album also allows Vincent to get closer to his Franco-Canadian roots with the song “Dans l’air pur et clair”. Since this title was highly acclaimed, he has committed to the production of a first album entirely in French.
Vincent also offers music lessons, workshops and conferences for people of all ages. Besides performing his compositions and his favorite songs, the content of his presentations also includes autism awareness. Vincent talks about his journey and his experiences as a child and young man with this condition, which has caused him many challenges, but also many qualities. He currently offers his workshops mainly to primary school students and his conferences to high school students.
